Amrita began her career in Bollywood after a successful foray into advertising where she was seen in more than 35 ads. She was soon seen in Raj Kanwar's Ab Ke Baras in 2002, and was later seen in Rajkumar Santoshi's The Legend of Bhagat Singh and Ken Ghosh's Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar .
Farah Khan sighted her in a coffee ad and Shah Rukh Khan narrated Main Hoon Na to her even before she captured hearts in Ishq Vishq. Her latest films include Masti and Shikhar.
