A noted economist and Management guru, Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri founded Planman Consulting in 1996. His vision and hard work has made Planman Consulting one of the fastest growing management consulting firms in India, employing over 500 management graduates who are striving to take it to greater heights. Under his leadership, Planman Group has grown tremendously in ten years, offering services in recruitment, ITES, market research, travel and tourism, management consulting, training and development, advertising and PR, media and filmmaking. As the Honorary Dean of The Indian Institute of Planning and Management, he has steered the institute to its current strength and size, making it the largest B-School in the world, with well over 4000 students graduating every year.
As a management consultant he specializes in the areas of Strategic Vision, Leadership and Social Sector Consulting. His contribution to the field of management studies can be found in the iconoclastic "Theory 'i' Management" which is about India centric management ideas with global applicability. For the last few years he has been conducting workshops on Leadership and Strategic Vision exclusively for CEOs, MDs, Directors and Presidents from the corporate sector. As a distinguished speaker he is regularly invited to speak at various national conventions.
His book 'Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch' created a new benchmark in India by selling more than 1,00,000 copies in record time. His second book "The Great Indian Dream" has revolutionary views and strategies through which he expresses his thoughts on how to make India the next Superpower. His undying passion for the country is reflected in his thoughts, books and actions. He strongly feels about social responsibility and constantly endeavors to contribute to the development of his country. To facilitate social activities, he has started the Great Indian Dream Foundation (GIDF). GIDF is a social sector organization which has been working towards developmental activities throughout the country running over 500 schools and benefiting 12,000 students. Prof. Chaudhuri is also an ardent movie fanatic. His vision for world cinema is the result of his passion for movies.
