Though Irfan has been in the industry since the 80's he has received recignition after he did films like 'Haasil', 'Charas', and 'Maqbool' to name a few. According to the actor himself, 'Haasil' gave him proper birth. His previous films like 'Gunaah'were appreciated but not enough to give a platform.
His film 'The Warrior' was extremely appreciated overseas and it did the PR Irfan needed. And since then major banners have signed him for several films.
