Jugal Hansraj

He was that hazel-eyed, pink lipped little boy who stole everyone's heart as a child artist in 'Masoom' (1982). After doing many more films as a child artist, Jugal Hansraj stepped into the industry as a grown up actor. But the audiences no longer adored his eyes and lips and he soon joined the bandwagon of successful child artists who turned into unsuccessful grown up actors.

Jugal Hansraj's first film as a grown up actor was 'Aa Gale Lag Ja' opposite Urmila Matondkar, his elder sister in 'Masoom'. The pair could not deliver the same goods as they had years ago as siblings. The movie was not to the liking of the audiences. Some of his other films are 'The Don', 'Gudgudi' and 'Papa Kehte Hain'. In these films he worked with the likes of Sonali Bendre, Pratibha Sinha and Mayuri Kango. But his career is taking a long time to take off in a constructive way. After a great lull in his career, Jugal has bounced back with new found confidence and vigour. A good friend of the Chopras, he got selected as one of the six youngsters in Aditya Chopra's second venture 'Mohabbatein' and is quite pleased with his performance.

He is getting all the right publicity which should bring the much needed push in his career. Not one to get bogged down by all this adulation, Jugal seems to be keeping his head firmly on his shoulder and waiting with his fingers crossed for more plum offers. Talent never goes waste.
