From a small town Dhanbad in Bihar, the shift to Bombay was a very big leap in the year 1995.With wife and a three-month –old son, the struggle began in the film industry having started work with Nitin Manmohan's Neha arts as a junior production assistant. Initial years were spent to learning the ropes of production, as it was a totally new field. Under the banner of NMZ Entertainment a partnership between Nitin Manmohan, Mukul Anand and Zee telefilm, the first assignment began with a television serial called "Meter Down' which was directed by Sanjeev Duggal a well-known writer of hindi films. There after Ashutosh Gowarikar's "Hum' serial followed which was a one-hour episode. Time did not stop. Days and nights were seamless and family life suffered while the tricks of the trade were being mastered. Unfortunately most of the television serials made were never aired.
Having got the initial training in handling the production of television serials came the break into becoming a production manager for the film "Prithvi' which was the debut directorial venture of Nitin Manmohan under the banner of Neha Mad films combine.
The next film assignment was as a production manager for Mukul Anand magnum opus "Dus' which was shot in the grand canyon area of United States of America. The untimely demise of the director forced the film to be shelved. The film was a great learning experience having worked with the crew from Hollywood for the special effect, fights and pyrotechniques,.
Promotion came with David Dhawan's "Chal Mera Bhai' as a production controller, meanwhile a 3D film "Chotta Chetan was re shot and released in the major territories of India. A new shooting and release technique was another learning experience with the director of the film Jijo.
Further promotion came with being given the title executive producer for films such as "Shool' and "Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega' both being director by E. Niwas under the banner of Dream Merchants Enterprise a partnership concern of Nitin Manmohan and Ramgopal Varma.
Interaction with artists and technicians in the film industry increased and the production of Anees Bazmee's "Deewangee' was handled being a constant support to the producer Nitin Manmohan.
Challenge and belief in the script of "Nayee Padosan' were the prime factors into making a quality film within time and budget. Having shot extensively outside Bombay to maintain the look of the film, there came the proximity and bonding with the artists and technicians who worked hand in glove in the best interest of the film.
