In Hindi he has directed films like Muskurahat, Virasat, Saat Rang Ke Sapne, Gardish, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, Hera Pheri, Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar, Kalapani and of created a comedy niche for himself with laugh riots like Hungama, Hulchul, Garam Masala, Hera Pheri, Malaamal Weekly and Bhool Bhuliayaa. With Mere Baap Pehle Aap he tackles an unusual subject – of a son trying to get his father married with hilarious yet poignant consequences.
