Sameera Reddy was first noticed by the film folks in Pankaj Udhas's album "Ahista" and was flooded with offers. But at that time Sameera was not too keen in Being a part of Bollywood. Both her sisters are actively involved in the fashion feild. Her journey as an actress began with Sohail Khan's debut film, "Maine Dil Tujhko Diya". Though the film could not do well at the box- office, Sameera was noticed, and was seen again in "Darna Marna Hai".
