To borrow a cue from Superman: Look, it's the Grammys! No, it's the Tonys! No, it's a super-musical edition of the Oscars—which have never focused on music quite as much as they did on Sunday night's gotta-sing, gotta-dance telecast.

It didn't hurt (or did it?) that host Seth MacFarlane is more of a song-and-dance man than most viewers knew, or that the show's producers were responsible for the Chicago movie, or that Dame Shirley Bassey had to represent for Bond in lieu of Sean Connery's apparent unwillingness to show up for a 50th anniversary salute.

Who came out ahead or behind amid all this hoofing and histrionic singing? "Here's to the losers," as MacFarlane and Kristin Chenoweth sang at the end...and, while, we're at it, the night's crooning winners, too:

Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens hit up Vanity Fair’s Oscars party together Sunday night at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, California. Fresh off a European promotional tour for “Spring Breakers,” the two stars have been inseparable lately.

Gomez, 20, and Hudgens, 24, arrived at the star-studded fete together and posed for pictures on the carpet. Inside the bash, the ladies rarely left each other’s sides and seemed to be enjoying themselves alongside A-listers including Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon, and Sandra Bullock.

Both the Anti-Defamation League and the Parents Television Council today slammed MacFarlane's "offensive" humor.

The ADL zeroed in on MacFarlane's crack (in his guise as the foul-mouthed, pot-toking CGA bear Ted) that you have to be Jewish if "you want to work in this town."

"While we have come to expect inappropriate 'Jews control Hollywood' jokes from Seth MacFarlane, what he did at the Oscars was offensive and not remotely funny," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL national director.

So who was that guy who took the stage with Ben Affleck and George Clooney to accept the Best Picture Oscar for "Argo," anyway?

Grant Heslov, who's almost but not quite as stunningly handsome as his two stage-mates, has emerged as quite the formidable Hollywood producer in recent years -- though he first became acquainted with his pal and partner George Clooney in an acting class when they were just starting out as young thespians.

Winning an Academy Award doesn't just give a boost to the winner's ego. An Oscar statue also gives the victor more salary-negotiating power for future projects. The 24-karat gold-plated statues are worth around $900 each, based on current gold prices. And while it may seem crazy that the winners would ever part with their trophies, there have been many instances of old Oscar trophies going up for auction and fetching hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Since 1950, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has made it a rule that anyone who tries to sell or auction off their award must first offer it to the academy for $1. Sorry, Jennifer Lawrence -- your trophy is worth only a buck on the open market. But that rule doesn't apply to trophies awarded before 1950.

Some Oscar winners go on to long and busy careers, while other fade into obscurity (Beatrice Straight's win for "Network" and F. Murray Abraham's prize for "Amadeus" unfortunately didn't bring them many grade-A roles). So what's in store for last night's victors?

DisneyWhat works in the movies doesn't always work in real life. Just ask Kristina Reed, who last night was kicked out of the Oscar ceremonies at Hollywood's Dolby Theater for trying a stunt featured in one of her films.

Reed is producer of the animated short subject "Paperman," which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Subject Sunday night. In "Paperman," a young man tries to get the attention of a pretty woman working in the office building next door by using paper airplanes.

PESAdam Pesapane may not have won an Oscar Sunday night, but at least he's a part of Academy Award history.

Pesapane, an animator who make films under the moniker PES, was up for the Best Animated Short Subject award for his film "Fresh Guacamole."
