Richa Sharma sings the title Saawariya in the promos and even today she sang on stage and left everyone speechless. What do you have to say about her voice?

I think Richa has a wonderful, tremendous voice and the kind of voice quality that comes out from Richa is outstanding. Today what she did was completely outstanding because when you are on stage and there is no music, and to still sing like that; I think she is outstanding. But then who am I to comment. God Saraswati has blessed her immensely. I have always believed that singers and musician have so many blessings from God Saraswati that their talent is unbelievable and it's god gifted and Richa is definitely one of the blessed ones.

Today was a huge event for Saawariya as it was the music launch as well as the launch of two new, fresh faces. How did you feel working with them?

For me, my feeling working with Sonam and Ranbir is different because I have known them from before. I have literally seen Ranbir and Sonam, both of them, groomed in front of me and now they come like this today. So in a strange way I feel immense pride in the way they have turned out and I feel extremely happy that today I am a part of the music launch and that I have introduced Ranbir and of course Salman has introduced Sonam. I feel extremely happy being a part of this.

You were a part of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black which is one of your biggest films in terms of critical and public acclaim. Now you are back in Saawariya, so how did it feel this time around?

For me, Sanjay will always be special because he is one of my favorite directors and I absolutely adore him; he is my friend and the kind of relationship that we have when working and the kind of rapport we have created right from Black is something really rare and very special. I hope this bond continues and that we make some more movies together.

When u were working on Black, both Ranbir and Sonam were assisting Bhansali, and now they are your co-actors. Any difference in the relationship then and now?

The difference is that when I was doing Black, these assistants were behind the camera and now, while filming Saawariya, these two were in costume with their make-up on, in front of the camera. But otherwise, there were exactly how they were while filming Black; there was no difference. Only thing is yes, they were nervous because they were facing the camera this time and they were in fact nervous even in front of me. So I used to try and kind of joke around with them a bit and put them at ease so that they didn't get nervous. But because they have such a great guide and they were under the guidance of Sanjay, they didn't really need anything else. It's a blessing that both of them are launched by Sanjay because he is a great director, one of the finest that we have today, not just for newcomers but even for experienced actors because he gives so much time to groom them and to help them grow as actors in the film process. He is really really special so I would say that Ranbir and Sonam are very fortunate and blessed that they have been launched under his banner.

What type of response do you think these 2 will get from the audiences?

Both of them are going to create a stir. If I talk about Ranbir, he is going to have a great female following because the way he dances, he has got touches of both Neetuji and Rishiji and he dances tremendously well. I think that is one quality that will be very endearing for people to watch even though he still has his own unique style of dancing because when he comes on screen, obviously people are going to think "will he be able to bring back that Rishi-Neetu magic of dance.' But I think Ranbir has a special way of dancing, he's got a very nice style. And of course Sonam looks so beautiful on screen, that I think she has got both Anil and Sunita's good qualities in her which is why she has grown up to be such a beautiful girl. She's going to have a tremendous male following and I think they are both going to be two of the biggest stars in Indian Cinema.
