You waited long to see it coming true. You have directed a film with your own banner. How difficult was it for an actor like you to handle it? How does it feel now?

I always wanted to direct a film. I was just waiting for the right moment. I guess this was the perfect time to make it happen. I was comfortable doing it as I was always use to the mood of these situations. I always visited film sets with my father Veeru Devgan since I was 7 years old. I learnt editing while I was at school. I assisted Shekhar Kapur in Dushmani. With U Me Aur Hum I hope audiences like my direction. I feel only a director can sketch a film to the expectations of the audiences.

What is U Me Aur Hum all about?

The film is a love story that focus on positive side of life, which is beautiful. In today's world there is so much hatred, jealousy, anger, people are more cynical and less optimistic. They have tendency to generate negative outlook about things especially with regards to love, relationships, feelings, marriage and most of all about life. The music composed by Vishal Bharadwaj is an advantage for going in the film.

How has been your experience?

It was a remarkable experience. Shooting at cruise ship was exhilarating. We worked like a team and support from the team didn't leave me with any complaint.

No action films for you since quite a long time?

Just a matter of suitable script. The day I find it, I will announce right away.
