Why did it take you so long to enter Bollywood, especially when we know that you were interested in acting since your childhood?
Yes, since childhood acting was my passion and I always wanted to establish myself as an actor but I only wanted to get into my professional career when I actually had an in depth knowledge about it. The time I entered into acting is a bit late for others but for me this was the perfect timing. I always knew what I have to do but when I have to start with it was not known. Fortunately I have the best parents to guide me whenever I need them. So I don't think it's too late.
Why and when did you feel that this was the perfect time for you to enter into acting as a professional career?
When I was into my college life, I enjoyed every moment of it as I knew once I get into my professional career I won't get time to enjoy it again. Then afterwards when I got to know the reality of life step by step I got more serious towards life and finally when I thought that I gathered enough knowledge on acting, I entered Bollywood.
2 of your films are releasing simultaneously within a gap of only two week. Was this planned?
Actually no. But this all happened with just a mere co incidence. I was offered 'Summer 2007' nearly one and a half year back and immediately after two minutes I knew that I was doing this film. In fact the same was the case with Woodstock Villa, so I would say more than planning, it was all destiny.
Can you tell us about your forthcoming film 'Summer 2007'?
Summer 2007 is basically on a very crucial issue i.e., 'farmer suicide'. The people living in cities do not really know what problems are there in the villages. Similarly in the film, depicts the journey of five friends who always thought that their problems are the biggest, but when they visit a village and witness the problems it opens their mind of a completely different perspective. Through this film we have just tried to showcase our youth the real problem of India. And I hope we get success in that.
This film is a youth based film so what kind of music does it has?
The music is awesome and I am hearing it from the first day when I got the audio CD of the music. I loved it and immediately uploaded it in my iPod. The music is really enthusiastic.
Bollywood industry has suddenly flooded up with so many new comers coming in, hence do you feel a bit of insecurity?
No, not at all, I mean all the fresh faces are talented in their own ways and as this industry is so big, it has place for everyone to show their talents. So why to be insecure. Everyone has its own market.
Are you planning to experiment with your looks or cut short your hair for your next film?
I will do it definitely if my director wants me to do it and it is required by character I play. I just love my hair and don't really wish to cut them short.
So after Summer 2007, whats next for you?
There are many scripts that are there with me currently so after it gets announced officially I will see you again.
