We would like to ask you first of all that how different and how mad Golmaal Returns is from Golmaal?

I think it's quite mad. When I saw the film I found it funniest than the previous one otherwise as funniest as the previous one. I think we have carried the characteristics, the characters in the second one also in spite of the script being completely different and nothing to do with the one. So if you have not seen the one you are not going to miss out on anything. But the characters are as stupid as the one in Golmaal.

For instance do you remember any scenes like how mad it was?

I think most of the scenes. In Golmaal and Golmaal Returns you can't pin point any scene. There was a Black scene in that which people really appreciated it and there is a stupid Black scene in this as well. So I think everything is planned in such a way that the attempt is not that we wanted to make it a classic. It's just that the people want is entertainment, humor and fun and we had to give them as much as it was in Golmaal and the attempt was in fact give something more.

Is your character of Gopal the same like one in Golmaal?

Yah I am Gopal but in a different situation. He is a little more matured now. He is married. Tusshar is his brother in law. So the scenario is changed but the level of stupidity is the same.

In your last movie Golmaal you didn't but Tusshar had a girl in the end and in Golmaal Returns all four of you have girls. Would you like to say something about it?

Yah, everybody has a girl this time. That was the demand of the script infact. There are lot more characters and people in the film. The film is more elaborated than the first one.

There is a costliest song "Tha Karke" in the film. How was the shooting done?

I think it's one of the most elaborate song shot. I think it's come out fantastic where there is dance happening, action happening, the story is going on, the explosion is happening. We took a lot of time shooting that song in fact more than 10 to 11 days I guess.

You were working with one of the generation next. How different are they from your time?

I have been working with them for quite some time now.

This has a whole group of them, all youngsters. So how is it different from the time you used to work?

I think it's the same because we earlier gelled very well and these kids are also sensible enough. We got along very well and I made it a point to make them comfortable enough and not wanted them to get intimidated with things like this because that's what works with the film and I think they are very cool people to work with.

Did you take any time or extra efforts to get back in to the character of Gopal again?

No, I think stupidity comes very easily. No, I didn't. It was comfortable because we exactly knew what we were expected to do and what we had to do.

You have always been a prankster on the sets. So did you have any pranks this time that you would like to share with us?

Pranks!!! I think I have a bad reputation about being a prankster. It's just that we all have a little fun on the sets and enjoy ourselves. And as much as fun and pranks I play, the rest of them also do. I just get on the limelight that's it.

How has your journey been so far from being an action hero till now?

I think it's been great because without planning too much today I am in such a situation where I am being able to do different kind of films, genres and characters. That's lot to say because lot of people can't do that or don't get a chance to do that. It's great that gives me satisfaction and keeps me going because I keep doing different things all the time.

You have been very innovative, your roles, you have been very experimenting, you are also doing a cartoon film. So would you like to talk something about it?

It's not exactly a cartoon, it's an animated world. Me and Kajol are live in the film. It's something which is not done before. It is also a very elaborate film and I think it's shaping up very well but it's going to take a lot of time.

Now are you coming back to the action films? Will we see you again in action films?

I want to do an action film but when I come back to action I want to do something which I am really excited about. So I am just looking for the script which really fascinates me.

You have been a prankster, would you like to share some experience while shooting for Golmaal Returns?

I don't know. I mean there is nothing major that we did. The little things we do everyday and don't remember about it. But we all had a lot of fun on the sets.

About working with Rohit Shetty, this is your third film with him. Would you like to share something?

I have been known Rohit for quite a long time now like 17 to 18 years. He came as an assistant in Phool Aur Kante and he has always been there since and I always knew that he is a boy who has potential and that's why decided to do his first film. And I am happy today and I think what I felt he has proved it right.

Even before he directing his first movie, did you know that he would direct movie something?

Of course. Yah because then he was working with Devgan Films for 10 years and I exactly knew what he was doing and how he was going about it and what he wanted to do.

Since he was working with Devgan Films, is that the reason that he only had Ajay Devgan in all his films?

No, not necessary. I mean he is planning other films also. We are friends. In fact, this new script which he is working for, we are discussing on who the hero should be. So its nothing like he is going to do films only with me.

How was it working with Kareena again?

I think it's always been great. We have been known each other since long and we share a good rapport so it was a different experience after Omkara which is a serious film and this is a complete comedy.

Kareena has been given a lot of footage in this movie, even in the posters if you see.

In the posters, I think, all the different posters everybody has. Though she is there in two songs and the songs are promoted may be that's the reason.

Compared to the other girls, she is into more limelights.

Because she has more songs than others. Like this "Meow" song which is started, she is the only person who is there in the song. And rest of the songs I think there is only one song where all the other girls are there. I think that's the reason.

In Golmaal, Sharman used to translate the mute character of Tusshar, so is it Shreyas in this film?

No, he does not translate in this. Tusshar has much more difficult role because he has to explain himself what he is trying to say.

Did you miss sharman?

No, I thought I would but when Shreyas started first we were at ease because Shreyas is very good.
