We have seen you playing the role of a cop in a number of films recently. Is it co incidence or your directors feel that you fit the cop character well?

Well I am playing a cops role again in '13B'. The last role I did as an inspector in 'Jaane Tu Aa Jaane Na' has registered in lot of people's mind, which is why I have been asked by a lot of people about seeing me in so much in the uniform. The role of the cop that I am playing in the movie '13B' is a very interesting because the character is not just a cop but he is also the lead protagonist, Madhavan's friend. He also gets involved in a whole lot of spooky events happening in the house. So this got me excited to say yes again for a cop's role.

What is your take on the director of '13B'?

Vikram Kumar had a fabulous script. He used to be Priyan's assistant. Vikram was so clear and had everything in place. I am sure his work will be very well appreciated in '13B'.

What are your reasons to take up '13B'?

The director, Vikram knows his script well. Madhavan is an ace actor. I have worked with him before about twelve to thirteen years in a play directed by Anubhav Sinha. I was waiting since then to work with him again. Big Pictures is a good production house and they know their job well too. Mr. P.C Srinam is an excellent cinematographer, so wanted to work with him. I haven't done too many thrillers even though I have done a lot of cop's roles in recent times. I have taken up this movie more so as it has a different genre and is a super natural thriller. So, I had so many reasons to do '13B'.

Can you tell us something more about your character in the film?

I am playing the cop in '13B'. I am also Manohar's close friend. The newly wedded couple, Manohar and Priya move into their new house. Priya watches this serial called 'Sab Khairiyat'. Whatever happens in the serial is exactly the same stuff happening in their new house whose number is '13B'. Initially all good things happen in the serial as well to the family. Later spooky events happen and all this is reported to the cop which is me. Initially I find it very strange and laugh it out. There is an inspector friend of the main actor in the serial and in real life I am the cop and Manohar's friend. Later there is an episode where the cop's wife is in danger and is about to meet an accident. That's how I get scared and start believing it. Series of events make me feel that what Manohar is saying is completely true and I also get pulled into it. This is how my character goes in '13B'.

'13B' is due to release. Are you excited or nervous?

Well I am very excited as it's our movie. I am not scared or nervous at all. I just believe in one thing that when given an opportunity, one should put in his best and that's what I did.
