Ruhail, Bollywood Trade News Network

He's known to be the superstar material. Though he has been in the industry for more than a decade now, Fardeen Khan is yet to find his deserving spot in the industry. After he lost his dad (superstar of yesteryears Feroze Khan) recently, Fardeen is trying to come out of the emotional trauma and focus on his film career once more.

Waiting in the wings of his upcoming film ACID FACTORY, Fardeen is all set to charm the audiences with his fresh act. The actor will be seen doing some pulsating action in the film that also stars Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, Manoj Bajpai, Danny Denzongpa and Dia Mirza in the lead.

We caught up with the actor about his new role and the expectations he has from the film.

Firstly, we hear your upcoming film ACID FACTORY will portray you in a new way. Can you share some details about your character in the film?

I will be playing a fully loaded action oriented role in ACID FACTORY. I have always longed to play such roles. Though the narrative of the film is quite intricate, but my character is neither black nor white. I have done loads of stunts in this film and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. That's all I would like to reveal at this stage. Hope you like my character after watching the film.

This film comes after a very long gap. What took you so long to come up with a film?

I had a release early this year JAI VEERU. It's true that I took some time off to focus on better scripts. Though, ACID FACTORY has been in the making for some time, I am glad that good films are coming my way. I have quite a few films lined up this year like DULHA MIL GAYA, LIFE PARTNER and of course ACID FACTORY. So, I'm pretty much around actually.

How was it working with an ensemble cast this time?

Working with an ensemble cast was a great experience. We had a fabulous time working together. All of us would play pranks on each other most of the time. Apart from that, since the film is all about some big action, all of us shared the thrill of doing some of the most amazing stunts. To be honest, this experience of working together will always remain a great memory to cherish.

Considering the fact that there were six men and only a single female lead, Dia Mirza in this case, did you guys ever compete for her attention?

Firstly, I wonder how Dia could tolerate six men. (Laughs)Though we never competed for any attention, but we loved to play pranks on her. We would tease her during her stunts and even try to scare her. But she proved to be much stronger than what we thought.

This is your second film with Suparn Verma. Your earlier film EK KHILDAI EK HASINA which was directed by him didn't fare great at the box-office. At any stage, did you have reservations about working in this film?

I have always believed in Suparn's talent. Even when we worked together in EK KHILADI EK HASINA, Suparn was always impressive. You know box-office successes are dependent on various factors. For this film, I never had an iota of doubt about Suparn's capabilities. You have to watch the film to believe what I am talking about. I can say that ACID FACTORY will redefine the concept of action in Bollywood and the credit surely lies with the director.

We hear you had a tiff with Aftab during the shoot of the film? Is that true?

We always used to have friendly tiffs on the sets. I was quite infamous for playing pranks and Aftab was my special victim most of the time. But, apart from having fun, we shared the thrill of doing some breathtaking stunts together. I'm sure Aftab will never forget that.
