With 'Barsaat', the bad phase of Bobby Deol's career finally seems to be over now. Basking in the glory, we got an opportunity to meet the dashing Deol.

Excerpts:

The second 'Barsaat' proved to be lucky for you?

But, this 'Barsaat' is completely different from my earlier one. I had never tried a completely romantic film earlier in my career as most of the films were thriller. I also got trapped in an action hero image. But after this film, I would really love to do more romantic films.

How was it working with Suneel Darshan?

Suneel Darshan knows the pulse of the audience and that is why he is a successful filmmaker. Suneel is a combination of a director and producer which is good for a film as he makes an exta effort to promote the films. Otherwise most of the time, producer does promote the film at all.

You are doing another film with Suneel Darshan. Can you tell us about it?

Yes I am doing another film with him called 'Dosti'. This is a very different film and is about friendship between two friends - myself and Akshay Kumar. It was a pleasure working with Akshay and we get along very well.

There is news that Suneel is planning another film with you?

You are right. We are planning on more film toegher. But it will take some time. Currently, we are concentrating on the release strategy of 'Dosti'. I am quite impressed with the way Suneel promoted 'Barsaat' and the film openened with a huge response.

Well, critics aren't happy with 'Barsaat'.

'Soldier' was the last time I got affected by critics. Today, I feel it is just a matter of opinion at end of the day. 'Soldier' was trashed badly by the critics but it wnet on to become a superhit. It is the audience who is the real boss and we make films for them.

Dharamji, Sunny and you will be seen together in 'Apne'.

We all three Deols will be seen together for the first time in Anil Sharma's film 'Apne'. The film is about a father and his two sons. the film is about a father who wants to fulful his dreams through his sons.

Any other films in the making?

I always get offers but I'm bit choosy. I don't want to be a part of the run-of-the-mill kind of movies. It is important to be satisfied and convince the producers as well as directors.
