If anyone had known that Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag, and Shreyas Talpade were such great actors, im sure every director in Bollywood would have been scrambling at thier feet.

Good: Dor is a film of realization, salvation, and friendship. It hits hard at the end but starts off soft. The movie has great performances by EVERYONE! Ayesha Takia will be a superstar if she keeps this up, and Gul Panag and Shreyas Talpade make for great characters in their respective roles. After "Iqbal" Nagesh Kunkunoor surprises us once again with the sleeper hit of the year. This film deserves all the praise it has gotten and along with Rang De Basanti and Lage Raho Munnabhai, it rounds out the top 3 films of the year 2006.

Bad: As most Indian films, the movie ends 15 minutes too late. The ending train chase is unnecessary and the dance sequences in the desert are a little tedious.

Bottom Line: Dor is an Art-film on the verge of being a mainstream Bollywood masterpiece. Great job by cast and crew, and we hope to see more inspirational films like these in the future! Congratulations Mr. Kunkunoor on a job very well done!

Excellent portrayal of a realistic scenario. It's got Nagesh Kuknoor's directorial touch in all the frames. Gul panag and Ayesha takia have risen to a new standard of acting in this movie. Shreyas talpade comes of age as an actor and proves that he's no flash in the pan after iqbal. The movie doesn't waste time in any scene and is a taut rendition of the story. A must watch.
