After the musical success of OMKARA and NO SMOKING, producer Kumar Mangat revives his sturdy chemistry with composer Vishal Bharadwaj along with composers Pritam Chakraborty, Anand Raj Anand and Raghav Sachar, all showing their specialized prowess in HAAL-E-DIL. Its great delight to hear multifaceted musical talents showing their finesse and delivering potential entertainment that primarily comprises of love ballads and hip-shaking soundtracks. Vishal Bharadwaj shows his sentimental and intellectual flamboyance of delivering the sentiments of pristine love in somber Sufi overtones in brilliantly rendered title track 'Haal-e-Dil'. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan maintains his golden streak of success in emoting out this melancholically refined track that speaks about eternal soulful love. Munna Dhiman's soul-stirring lyrical works captivates the delectably tender and solemn romantic moments in eloquently poetic verses. Shreya Ghoshal's refreshingly sweet inputs in brief echoing shades add austerity to the occasion. Rekha Bharadwaj's folksy nasal flavors in its 'remix' version come with unplugged singing modes has bleak impacts than Rahat's version but still works well with minimal instrumentals. Soul-stirring!!! Pritam Chakraborty, the hottest commodity in club-party 'item' numbers makes another hot chemistry with Labh Januja and Hard Kaur in boisterously festive 'Agg Lage Aaj Kal De Fashion Nu'. This snazzy and snooty party animal's special track brings the passions of U.K stylized 'bhangra' feast on the floors with likes of Indi-Pop albums like 'Shamur', 'Vibes' etc for its hip-hop cum 'bhangra' dancing passion. It's indeed lethal combination of Hard Kaur in its yelling and echoing tones with Labh's folksy punches in creating deadly combination that sets the floors on fire. Go for it!!! Raghav Sachar had an inconsequential outing in Kumar Mangat's ONE TWO THREE but this time he makes remarkable presence in fine set of love ballads. 'Khwaish', a soft and smoothening love ballad that had imposing serene impacts in its tranquil-feel arrangements brings out the finest efforts from Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan. Raghav Sachar makes himself audible in brief introductory monologues in Aditya Dhar's wordings that forms impressive phase of prelude. Shaan's bright voice is the striking highlight that concocts well in the smoothening textures of saxophone, violin and percussions in making this delightful mushy track. Lovable!!! Sachar has another surprise in waiting in the form of another mushy enchanting ballad 'Rang' in the immaculately pristine vocals of Sonu Nigam. Undoubtedly this ballad comes out as the finest solo effort by Sonu in recent times that mesmerizes brilliantly in soggy and over-sentimental flair of soft tantalizing arrangements. The electronically mastered 'remix' version has Raghav Sachar behind the mike making all vociferous moves in midst of thriving and thumping disco beat fillers. Overall Sachar has delivered potential results in all of his three composed tracks and deserves to be applauded for his much needed improvisation. Brilliant!!! Anand Raj Anand (ARA) makes formidable chemistry with old-war horses Sameer and Sonu Nigam in bringing out the melancholic and poignant shades of eternal love in impressive sounding 'Jeeta Hoon'. It has compelling theatrical feel in its racy and spontaneous piano and violin works that gels amiably with echoing vocals and turbulent sounding orchestrations. Pamela Jain's submissive sounding voice adds to the pathos but its modulating and varying baritones of Sonu that creates an overwhelming impact on ears. Impressive!!! 'Rani', another contemporary solo romantic sounding number in the voice of Sonu Nigam proves an average affair for its outmoded compositions that fails to create any major impression. Anand Raj Anand delivers a mandatory work this time and tracks like 'Rani' can well be heard in 90's when Nadeem Shravan made big success with popular tracks like 'Pehle Baar Mile Hain' (SAAJAN). After remarkable Sonu Nigam, it's time for lively paced Udit Narayan in his mellifluously contemporary tones in delightful sounding 'Oye Hoye' that signifies traditional advances of real love with hilly folksy melodic shades. Despite of its old-fashioned customary melodic flows by Anand Raj Anand and Sameer's regular wording, this song entertains to hilt in generating sprightly romantic feel. Udit Narayan's peculiar singing style in lively paced tempo reminds of his remarkable but unnoticed tracks like 'Chand Ke Paar Chalo' (CHAND KE PAAR CHALO) and positively creates space for some lively hilly romance. Melodious!!! HAAL-E-DIL comes out as refreshing surprise for listeners as all the four composers have delivered their best in their respective works. If Vishal Bharadwaj's composed 'Haal-e-Dil' has soulful impact then Pritam's 'Agg Lage Aaj Kal De Fashion Nu' brings out funky disco zing. Raghav Sachar matures well with promising 'Rang' and 'Khwaish' while Anand Raj Anand delivers fun-loving contemporary entertainment with 'Oye Hoye' and 'Jeeta Hoon'.
