MONEY HAI TO HONEY HAI is a good-looking bad movie. The cast and crew I bet had a picnic in Mauritius at the expense of the producer. There is no story; just six characters who are shown doing varied things. Upen Patel goes after girls, Govinda walks around with a laptop, Aftab Shivdasani sneezes, Celina Jaitley has a permanent frown on her face, Manoj Bajpai is seen in red outfits while Hansika Motwani is all smiles. For the first half of the movie there is a connection being made between these main characters by director Ganesh Acharya who also appears in a song. At least Subhash Ghai appears in a fraction of a scene. In the second half, they are willed a Rs 1000 cr company by some random maniac who only dreams numbers. They are also told that there is a bank loan of Rs 1200 cr they have to repay because the company is in the red. Makes sense? So this is the perfect premise for once-upon-a-time choreographer Ganesh Acharya to dream up song sequences to fill up time to make up for a lack of script. Because this is where he best 'Calls the shots'. Sad, because with a star cast like this you expected something sensible. Manoj Bajpai is reduced to doing buffoonery; Prem Chopra is being slotted for the most insane roles of late while Govinda must be wondering, where his 'Partner' is. Sad also because his debut, SWAMI was a decent movie. There are poor clones of Ekta Kapoor and Dr Vijay Mallya as well. All in bad taste.
