News and Reviews – The paucity is over. Finally 2008 has delivered its best Bollywood movie of the season – Sarkar Raj. It should be a super-hit. You don’t believe me. Ensure to watch it in theaters this weekend. Trust me; you will love it.

If there was any doubt that small B – Abhishek can’t act or any discussion that Miss World Aishwarya is just plastic Barbie doll, then Sarkar Raj is bound to change your opinion. Even an iota of doubt that the Super Star BIG B is too old to carry a film on his shoulder, then Sarkar Raj will show-case you, why he is still too powerful to break any / all Box-office records.

I am of the opinion that the Capacity and Capability of a Director is responsible for a Class movie out-put than just the ability of Actors. Sarkar Raj stamps it, proving once again that Ram Gopal Varma is one of the top notch Directors of Hindi Cinema today.

The flick “SARKAR RAJ” has every masala of Bollywood, minus songs – Drama, Revenge, Suspense, Action and Dialogues. The rare Hindi film without songs, will capture your imagination from the beginning till very end. The sudden twist and put of humor (double talk) breaks the serious rhythm of the movie, which further proves the genius of Director - RG Varma.

Sarkar Raj, may sound an extension of first movie “Sarkar” (cast Amitabh Bachachan) but is far superior in terms of direction and acting. The story-line may have drawn some strength from Bala Saheb of Shiv Sena, but it portrays the character in a positive light. Politics of Maharashtra or Enron Dhabol Power Plant, may be another reference point but the movie is very intense, thrilling and to an extent inspiring. It is good to see that the new generation of politician’s son (here Shankar as Abhishek Bachachan) is working hard for the community and upliftment of the society and ready to give sacrifice. Yes. Sacrifice. Watch the movie to find out what and how.

Over-all, a great movie is Sarkar Raj. I am privilege to give 4.5 on 5 stars for the movie.
