Team The Force is one of those movies, which could well have not been made. The film is uninspiring from the word go. There is no proper script or screenplay in place, the direction is uninspiring and the highlight is the rank bad acting. The film's director Ajay Chandhok launched this movie in 2003 and the film has finally seen the light of day now, which accounts for its dated look and feel, making it another factor which goes against it

The film's story is about a bunch of musicians, Raj (Sohail Khan), Yash (Yash Tonk) and Jassi (Vrajesh Hirjee), who come to Mumbai to make their fortune in Hindi films. But matters take a dramatic turn when they find themselves unknowingly getting involved with the underworld. In Mumbai, they are sheltered by their a kind hearted landlord (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), who even offers them money to make a music video. But the kind Samaritan falls prey to the local extortionist, Raman Bhai, played by Sayaji Shinde. Raman Bhai is after their landlord's house but in the end, the landlord gets back his house and all order is restored. The trio not only fight the local goon but make him see the error of his ways by kidnapping his sister, Rhea (Amrita Arora). Of course, there is a romance which brews between Raj and Rhea.

The film degenerates into a free for all but its saving grace is that it has fairly decent production values. It has been decently shot and the locales look good. But what does not work for the movie is the ridiculous plot. Considering that the film's protagonists are supposed to be musicians, one would expect a certain standard of music, but unfortunately, its music is hardly worth writing about.

But the one bright spot in this movie is actor Sayaji Shinde's performance. The actor who has been known to play dreaded villains with élan, turns in a deliciously funny performance as the local don, even though he goes over the top at times. Some of his dialogues are hilarious and he makes one really laugh. Also quite laughable are the antics of Sohail, Yash and Hirjee who do their best to perform. Amrita Arora arrives on the scene to provide some skin show and that's about it.

There is nothing original in the movie and the direction is sloppy. One is not sure why such films are made. One thing one can be sure of, this is not a movie which can move or shake anyone's career, any other direction but downwards.
