Lady luck is certainly on Pritam's side as 2008 has begun on a winning note as well. The music of RACE is sitting at the top of the charts and in the process has ensured that there is yet another hit to the name of 2007's most successful composer."I was anxious to know how RACE would perform. One can never gauge how audience would respond to a particular style of music. Thankfully, it has clicked", says Pritam heaving a sigh of relief, "The film looks good as well with a trademark Abbas Mustan stamp to it. The script of RACE is rocking and I am sure that the music would only go further up now after the film's release."
Last year was super successful for Pritam as he had chartbuster tracks in films like JAB WE MET, BHOOL BHULAIYAA, LIFE IN A METRO, KYA LOVE STORY HAI and DHAN DHANA DHAN GOAL. JUST MARRIED and HAT TRICK were average as well.
Though RAQEEB, MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES, KAISE KAHEY and NAQAAB went unnoticed, more or less Pritam seems to be having law of averages hardly bothering him with each of those albums working where audience did have good expectations from him.
Says Pritam in a soft spoken tone, "Kal kisne dekha, but yes I am enjoying each bit of the success coming my way. Who won't? Now I am all geared up for the arrival of JANNAT. I get back with Vishesh Films after GANGSTER, WOH LAMHE and AWARAPAN. With Emraan Hashmi leading the cast, at least a couple of chartbuster numbers is a basic requirement in the album. I hope coming months would be as fruitful as ever too!"
Coming months are 'Pritam packed' as well with music of films like HAR PALL, BHRAM and SINGH IS KINNG arriving in quick succession.
