Vipul Shah, Anees Bazmee definitely have a winner in their hands with Akshay Kumar as starrer in Singh Is Kinng. The first look of the film is a sure indication that the film is bound to go down well with audiences.

The music of the film has already created a stir and now it is the turn of the film itself. The film, which is partly a comedy, definitely looks to be a winner. With this film, Akshay Kumar should probably be able to leave his mark on the box office and prove that last year's four hits were not a fluke. He is truly the king of the box office. There are many who have hinted that the actor could not be given full credit for the four hits Namastey London, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiya and Welcome. The credit for the last two films, they argue is not because of Akshay as he just appears for a while in Priyadarshan's movie and Welcome was a hit because of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. So the onus is really on Akshay to prove his box office worth. The hype around the film is tremendous and a look at some of scenes reveals that Akshay is at his best in the comic scenes. He is ably supported by actors of the caliber of Om Puri and Sonu Sood. Since this will be his first release of the year, there is certain to be some amount of pressure on him as well. But if the first look is anything to go by, he probably has very little to worry about. The Khiladi is definitely on a roll.
