There is one thing that you have to grant producer and director Jagmohan Mundhra. The man is quick to latch on to a current interest story and make a film about it. He has done it with Shoot At Sight and Provoked before this. The man has a social conscience and believes in airing it quite regularly.
Currently, the Orissa nun rape case is high on his agenda. The director is keen to make a film on the plight of Christians in the state and the rape of the nun. Though the director has not yet finalized the idea, it seems that he is sufficiently moved by the story of the Orissa nun and wants to do something to compel the Vatican to react. Besides, this film, the director is also all set to revive his film on Sonia Gandhi. The film was shelved because the Congress party had served him a legal notice. But now that the notice has been lifted, the director is all ready to revive the movie. Monica Bellucci is set to play the role of the older Sonia Gandhi. The director is searching for an actress to play the young Sonia. The film will take a look at Sonia's life before she meets the late Rajiv Gandhi and also how it changed once she met him. This is a project that Mundhra is expected to start in 2010. As for now, the director is all set for the release of his Shoot At Sight, which stars Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri. The film will hit the screen this Friday.
