Ningi Nela Naadhe, the dubbed version of much-acclaimed Chinese movie Invisible Wings, was screened at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad and the preview was attended by Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy and Konda Surekha, Minister for Women's Welfare and Disabled on Tuesday.
The Telugu version will grace screens on Friday (July 3). The film showcases the real story of a young Chinese girl who loses both her arms in a freak accident, but comes out as a winner in life.
Sabita Indra Reddy said: The last time when I watched a movie was nine years ago. As I watch this film, it is heartening with a message to everyone that nothing is impossible with self-confidence and initiation. When I was in tenth class, I watched Mayuri, which impressed me. This present film comes under that category. I wish that more and more films should be made about the problems faced by the physically-challenged.
It is unfortunate that children commit suicide at a tender age after being handicapped physically. Wherever I go, I always appeal to the students to think of their parents constantly and this should keep them away from suicidal thoughts. Ningi Nela Nadhe would surely encourage the physically-challenged to attain greater heights in their careers, Konda Surekha said. The Telugu version is produced by Chawa Sudharani.
