Yathumaagi audio launch was held at Shantham theatre at around 9 a.m. today. The invitation of the audio launch was made in a novel fashion in the format of a book consisting of Bharatiyar’s literary work with the front page carrying the formal invitation and the back page consisting of the programme chart.

The invitation was given to 50 important personalities. Bhagyaraj and Ramanarayanan were among the important personalities invited for the function. First copy of the audio was released by Bhagyaraj and received by Ramanarayanan.

Speaking in the function Bhagyaraj stated that he is happy to see Balan the director of Yathumaagi who worked as his assistant grow to this stature. He also thanked his director Bharathiraja for all his achievements. Bhagyaraj said, that for any movie screenplay is vital and luck also plays a great role. He also revealed that Bharathiraja wanted actor Sivakumar to act in the lead role in Sigappu Rojakkal inspite of his assistant directors preferring Kamal Hassan. But after the director narrated the story, Sivakumar rejected the offer calling it not suitable for him.

In the same manner Aarilirunthu Arubathu Varai was also designed for actor Sivakumar but since he opted out Rajinikanth starred in the film which is till today considered a milestone in his career. Balan was looking for a producer for quite a while until Chola Ponnurangam jumped at the script.
