This year, on Onam, the film-going audience will probably prefer staying at home and watching TV.
Mohanlal's 'Alibhai' isn't proud of the reports that it had been drawing at the box office. Mammooty's emotional drama 'Orey Kadal' isn't expected to be a crowd-puller in spite of some excellent performances. The rest of the films aren't going to have an upset victory either.
So, while 'Hallo' continues its impressive performance, attention is now shifting to Mohanlal's new film 'RGV Ki Aag', which is the remake of one of the biggest hits in the history of Indian cinema, director Ramesh Sippy's 'Sholay'.
Our superstar is playing the role that originally was done by Sanjeev Kumar, the good landlord whose arms are chopped off by the notorious dacoit Gabbar Singh.
Ramgopal Varma was so impressed by the film that he decided to come up with his own interpretation of it. The film took a long time to get ready. Most of his films in recent times have flopped badly at the box office. So, nobody is ready to speculate about this one.
The film's music was released recently. Release-dates haven't been announced yet.
