There are no permenant friends or enemies in the film industry. Singer Daler Mehendi, who had sued Yash Raj for Rs 1 crore when his voice was replaced by Shankar Mahadevan's in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom's title song, has withdrawn his legal complaint.
The singer's anger is believed to have melted after he bumped into Shaad Ali and Abhishek Bachchan at Empire Studios last week. According to Shaad, the meeting was surprisingly very pleasant. Daler too was floored by Shaad and Abhishek's behaviour and decided to withdraw his complaint. Shaad was very touched by Daler's gesture and he thanked the singer personally. It is likely that Daler will work with Yash Raj Films once more. Few days before Jhoom Barabar hit the theatres, Daler had filed a case of criminal breach of trust against Yash Chopra, Shaad, Shanakar Mahadevan, Gulzar and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. But with the singer now withdrawing his complaint, it's a case of all's well that ends well.
