Washington, Oct 6 (ANI): After confirming a reunion world tour and a greatest-hits album, the Spice Girls have now announced that they will release their new single on November 19.and member Geri Haliwell has confirmed that the new song 'Headlines' is a "classic Spice Girls love song" which will be released just days after their Greatest Hits album, which is out on November 12.It's a Spice Girl classic. We are so proud of it," E! Online quoted Halliwell, as telling Britain's GMTV.
The track, which is the first new material the group has produced since Halliwell quit in 1998, will be the official song for the BBC's annual 'Children in Need' campaign.
Ginger Spice revealed that she initially started work on the single with Emma Bunton and the band's former collaborators, and the other members "chipped in later adding lyrics."
"We started putting words down before we even had the finalized yes from everyone," she said.
Haliwell also revealed news about their upcoming reunion tour, which kicks off on December 18 at London's o2 Arena.
"It's going to be amazing, it's going to be like a piece of theatre... it has like a story to it."
The tour is slated to kick off in Vancouver on Dec. 2, with performances scheduled in San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Cologne, Madrid, London, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney, Cape Town and Buenos Aires. (ANI)
