Gipsy one of the leading brand name in specialty home video segment, and Moser Baer an emerging power in the same segment have come together, this time not for acquisition of each other but for distribution of VCDs and DVDs produced by Shethia Audio Video Pvt. Ltd. under its brand name Gipsy. Moser Baer has offered Gipsy to manufacture and distribute its specialty videos in India.

Amit Chedda Managing director of 'Gipsy' said confirming the news that "The rights of their titles will remain with Gipsy while the VCDs and DVDs will be produced and distributed by Moser Baer. He further said that this kind of association was very important for both of us as we have the biggest catalogue of specialty video in India and we are the best in animation segment." Some of the segments that Moser Baer will distribute will be children, sports, biography's, special interests, health, etc. he said that with Moser Baer coming into the picture will reduce the cost of production and their distribution network will take our videos to the masses, which as of now had only reached the classes.

He expects the prices to reduce by 70% of what they had sold by now.

Adventures of Tin-Tin series, Asterix and Obliex Series, Superman, Spiderman Series, He-man and the masters of universe series, Tales of Akbar and Birbal, Tales of Panchatantra, Vikram and Betal, are among the few titles possessed by Gipsy Video.

Talking about the future plans Amit Chedda said that he will now focus on producing films both animation and regular life form Hindi feature films. "Infact we have already zeroed down on some good scripts, and recorded a few songs, we plan to go on floor in the month of November or December. We are planning around 7 to 8 movies this year and casting process is going on. Our next animation film PRITHVIRAJ CHAUHAN is complete and ready for release.
