When Raju Hirani wrote Munnabhai MBBS, he originally had Shah Rukh Khan in mind for the role. But for some strange reason, SRK was not able to do it. Hirani's wish to work with SRK remained. With Sanjay Dutt's future still in a flux, Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra decided to finalise SRK for their next based on Chetan Bhagat's "Five Point Someone.' But the latest front is that, SRK has turned down the project from Hirani as well.
The reason being touted is the SRK is very upset with Chopra for his remarks on Paheli, after Eklavya was selected as India's entry to the Oscars. And because of the unsavory remarks he is very reluctant to do a film with him. Chopra had taken a dig at Paheli and said that he had not made any noise when Paheli was selected as India's entry to the Oscars, implying that the film was not good enough. However, SRK has gone on record to say that he harbours no ill feeling against anyone for any comments. But he did say that saying yes or no to a film is a big process for him. He said that it was a process which took a lot of time as it involved a lot of discussions. As of now, he said that he was discussing a lot of films. He would only get a clear picture in a few weeks as he is currently busy with the release of Om Shanti Om and Shankar's film, Robot.
