Last week, Kodambakkam was abuzz with the news that Lekha Washington of SS Music who was roped in to play the arm candy of Simbu in Kettavan was fired and her place will be filled by none other than Asin.

When the matter was directly broached with Lekha, she denied the news and stated, “I am acting in the film and nobody has sacked me from it”.

When the same issue was taken up with Simbu, he had a different version to the whole story. He says, “We have shot around 12 days with Lekha and her acting was very ordinary and nothing to rave about.

I am currently busy completing Kaalai as we want to release the film for Diwali as for the decision to continue her in the film, it will be taken only after we resume shooting Kettavan. After I complete Kaalai, Yuvan and I will be traveling to U S to compose songs for Kettavan. When Simbu was questioned about Asin taking up the place of Lekha in Kettavan, he denied the news and said that the unit has not approached the actress on this matter.
