Selvaraghavan, the talented young director of Kollywood after establishing himself in Tamil films moved to Telugu Desam and tasted success with his debut venture Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verulu.
Now he has plans to spread his wings further by showcasing his directorial capability to the Hindi speaking audience also.
He will be directing Vivek Oberoi in the Hindi remake of 7G, Rainbow Colony. While conversing about his Hindi film and Vivek Oberoi, Selva recalls with gratitude about Mani Ratnam recommending his name to the Hindi actor. He says, “Mani Sir’s high-mindedness can never be conveyed in words. The very fact that he referred my name to Vivek Oberoi goes to prove his generosity of spirit for which I will be grateful.”
Selva further adds that out of the films that he has made, Pudupettai remains closest to his heart and he will be remaking the same in Hindi as well. According to him the subject of gangster and gang wars would be more appropriate in Mumbai and he would be making pertinent alterations to suit the scenario there.
