Simbu and Dhanush hugged each other and posed for flashing shutterbugs denouncing any rumors about their rivalry.

Sandhya walked the red carpet in a parrot green figure-hugging shirt and signed the visitor’s book pronouncing her attendance to the event. That apart there was a deluge of stars and prominent film personalities at INOX Chennai, which played a great host for the premiere of Kattradhu Tamil, on the breezy evening of 4th October 2007. A host of celebrities and other special invitees graced the occasion to watch the premiere thereby gesturing the Kattradhu Tamil team good luck on their phenomenal attempt. The film is written and directed by Ram and stars Jeeva and debutant Anjali in the lead with music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Director Ram, Jeeva, Yuvan Shankar Raja along with his mother, sister Bhavdharaini and brother Karthik Raja made their presence felt at the Premiere. The other celebrities who marked their attendance at the event apart from Simbu, Dhanush, wife Aiswarya and Sandhya include directors Simbudevan, Priya V and Gautham Menon, actors Parthiban, Jittan Ramesh, Ajay, RJ Shiva, Nandha, Uma Padmanabhan, Harish Raghavendra, SPB Charan, Venkat Prabhu, Premji, Prasanna and lyricist Na. Muthukumar.
