Aamir’s innovative idea to chat with his fans and well-wishers alike on his newly launched website turned out to be a virtual stampede.

The actor’s website witnessed mammoth traffic after fans started to register to try their luck chatting with him. A considerate Aamir was struck in the traffic snarls of Mumbai and could not reach his office to inaugurate the chat in time.

However, he started blogging instead using his laptop and a wireless Internet connection to connect to his fans explaining his delay in logging into the chat.

Aamir’s chat session started around 10.35 PM (IST) and a record number of fans started pouring into the chat log waiting for their turn to have a personalized chat. He answered questions ranging from his film Gajini, his heroines for the film (Asin and Jia) and even a few personal questions during the session. Besides, Aamir also mentioned that he fell in love with the Tamil version of Gajini and that he didn't have to think twice about remaking it into Hindi.
