Cheeni Kum directed by adman Balakrishnan alias Balki was enjoyed by one and all and the narration and the treatment of the script was much discussed by everyone.

The film was also talked about for its music which was scored by maestro Ilayaraja who had used some of his popular Tamil numbers like kuzhaloodum kannanukku, manram vanda thenralukku and vizhiyile in the Hindi film.

Balki's next venture will be Pa starring Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan which is said to be a light hearted comedy and the duo plays father and son in the film too. Interestingly, it has been said that Abhishek calls Amitabh as Pa.

Now once again Ilayaraja is asked to handle the music department in the film and this time around, it will be fresh numbers for Pa which are expected to scintillate the listeners. Raja has in fact readied few tracks and sent it to Mumbai where the shooting of the film is slated to commence next month. Besides Amitabh and Abhishek, Balki will be repeating his Cheeni Kum artists Zohra Sehgal and Paresh Rawal in Pa.
