The likes of Jeyam Raja and Prabhu Deva are in for a shocker. They don't have much choice, but to get creative in the real sense of the word.
If this leaves you guessing, its about the recent spate of dubbed Telugu hits being released in quick succession; giving its original directors everything to smile about and spelling doom for the so-called 'inspired' directors.
Almost all of Mahesh Babu's Telugu hits have reached the Tamil audience in the past few weeks alone. First it was Athadu (Nandhu) followed by Sainikudu (Kumaran) and the latest to join the bandwagon is Nijam. This Mahesh Babu-Prakash Raj-Rakshita-starrer has also been dubbed in Tamil and will carry the same title as in Telugu.
This 2003 hit of Mahesh Babu starring Rakshita and Raasi, with Prakash Raj playing one of the bad guys, is directed by Teja. Patnaik has scored the music for this flick. Nijam is about an honest fire serviceman succumbing to muscle power of the mafia and how his son avenges the murder backed by his mother, with some generous dose of romance thrown in. With the patronage that these movies enjoy, it’s quite natural that the producers would want to dub it!
