1977 is the next film that will be produced for R.K.S.Pictures private Limited by Sarathkumar. In this film he is said to don six different getups.

While talking about this film the former University Muscleman says, “People tend to think that I will be making stereo type films as I have entered politics.

But this notion will be proved wrong in this film. An event that happens in 1977 is recorded wrongly in the history. After thirty years this blunder is being found and the efforts to correct this form the crux of the storyline”.

G N Dinesh Kumar wields the megaphone in 1977, Vidya Sagar scores the music and Boopathy handles the camera. Sarath’s lucky mascot Namitha will be his arm candy. Jayasuda, Vivek, Vijaykumar and Radha Ravi also feature in the film besides the lead cast. Sarath also added that art director G K has set up a fishing hamlet of around 250 palm huts near Sayalkudi. Yang Kasim, a Malaysian villain will be debuting in 1977.
