It's an open secret now that the only reason Himesh Reshammiya donned a cap was because he was balding not because he was superstitious. However, now Himesh will be seen without a cap in his next film to be directed by Pooja Bhatt.

The cap made its first appearance in the Aashiq Banaya video and has not really left Himesh's head since then. But the hard taskmaster that she is, Pooja has insisted that Himesh appear without his cap and the composer-singer-actor has agreed to toe the line. Earlier, Himesh had admitted in a TV chat show, Koffee With Karan, that he chose to wear a cap as he was loosing hair. Anyway, the singer is believed to have undergone a hair transplant some months ago, so it's really not such an issue with him to go without his trademark cap. According to Pooja, the actor will sport three looks in the film – one with a cap; then a major portion without the cap. The film, which is being scripted by Shagufta Rafique, is a Rs 30-crore project and will be shot in three continents. It is the story of a lawyer from India in pre-independence days, who meets a girl from Morocco and falls in love with her. But she disappears. He tracks her down to a red light area in Pakistan. The story is supposed to be based on a real life incident which was narrated to Mahesh Bhatt and stayed with him all these years.
