Preity Zinta is gradually embarking on a love affair with all things Bengali. Ever since the actress worked with director Rituparno Ghosh in his The Last Lear, she has reportedly become quite an ardent follower of all things Bong.

The actress has found herself falling in love with the Bong sweets, the exotic Bong sarees, the music, and, in short, everything that the City of Joy has to offer. It has come to such a pass that the actress grabs every opportunity that she gets to visit Kolkata. So when the actress was invited to take part in the inauguration of Durga Puja, she accepted the opportunity to visit Kolkata with much relish. It seems that the actress believes that places of worship have a lot of positive energy and therefore impart a lot of peace and happiness. She has experienced this before when she went to Siddhivinayak, Tirupati and now Kolkata's Durga Pooja. She believes the positive vibration sink into the people who visit the area. So Preity intends to keep doing this. She also professes to love Bengali culture a lot as it is so rich in art and literature.
