Actor Salman Khan is taking his new-found love for painting very seriously. The actor, who stars in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya along with Sonam, Ranbir Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee, has asked Bhansali if he could paint his impressions of the film. Bhansali, of course, is quite gung-ho about it, and has promptly agreed.
It is believed that Bhansali has decided to give Salman a few stills from his film Saawariya so that he can paint them and take his film to a larger canvas. Salman will start working on the paintings very soon. The paintings will be auctioned a few days before the film hits the theatres on November 9. Sometime ago, a painting by Sallu had been auctioned by an NGO top collect funds for the education of underpriviledged kids a suburban five-star hotel. At the auction that followed, the painting is believed to have received a bid for Rs 20 lakhs. Salman had not sold the painting as the bid did not match the price that he had in mind. Later the painting got sold for Rs 1 crore. In the last few months, the actor has been taking lessons in technique from Nilesh Vede. His father, Salim Khan, too has been encouraging him to paint more often. With his lessons and so much encouragement from home, we are sure Salman's impressions of Saawariya will be worth the wait.
