With Vel's shooting wrapped up and being readied for a Diwali release, Surya is ready for his dream role in Vaaranam Aayiram.
This Gautham Menon film was stopped midway as Surya needed a complete transformation in the looks department, which he used to his advantage by doing Hari's Vel meanwhile.
Gautham who had dabbled with Chennayil Oru Mazhaikaalam is now ready to continue VA from where he had left, having done all the groundwork for the remaining part of the shoot.
Surya, Divya, Sameera Reddy and the technical crew along with Gautham are traveling to the US, temporarily putting on hold the shooting of his Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam starring Trisha. The crew would be in the US on a three-week schedule and Gautham intends going ahead with the shooting in full throttle to facilitate its release in February 2008.
