It is a fact universally acknowledged that every successful Telugu movie would have to be remade into Tamil and vice versa.
For the masala-packed red-hot Telugu flicks more often than not fit the right bill for a decent Tamil commercial entertainer. Following this golden rule, the Allu Arjun starrer smash hit of recent days, Arya (nope, name not to be confused with the recent Madhavan – Bhavana starrer) is all set to speak Tamil.
Top contenders who were vying for the protagonist in the Tamil remake of Arya were Simbu and Dhanush. Gemini Film Circuit, producers of the movie who earlier bought the Tamil rights of Arya, have now decided to kick off the movie with Dhanush in the lead. Dhanush, who is shuttling between the sets of Yaradi Nee Mogini and Polladhavan, has signed on the dotted line. However, shooting will only commence after his commitments with the other movies are over.
Balasekharan, who directed the recent Madhavan – Bhavana starrer Tamil Arya, will direct this – yet to be rechristened – movie.
