New Delhi: Megastar Chiranjeevi is a distraught father these days. His daughter Shreeja eloped in filmy style with her college sweetheart Shirish and tied the knot last week.

The superstar father was not in favour of this match and so the couple had to seek help from the police and the media. To top it all, the couple got married in full media glare.

“I thank the police and the media. Both my father and my mother were against this marriage,” Shreeja said with her husband in tow.

This is the second shocker for Chiranjeevi, whose elder daughter Sushmita too eloped with an upcoming actor Uday Kiran earlier.

However, for Uday Kiran it was the beginning of the end of his run for the top in the Telugu film industry.

Coming back to the newly weds, reports of Shirish being involved in a kidnapping case surfaced soon after the wedding. But it turns out that now there is no such case pending against him.

However, the couple fearing a backlash went underground. But with so much attention on the marriage, Chiranjeevi buckled under pressure.

“I was shocked when I came to know about the marriage. The important thing is that my family and well wishers have stood by me during this traumatic period. But now I want to bless my daughter and tell her that sweety, wherever you are, I wish you happiness,” a visibly disturbed Chiranjeevi said, for whom the entire episode was like living a scene right out of a movie.

So, after giving in to his daughter's wishes, it seems quite appropriate to say that all's well that ends well.
