London, Oct 23 (ANI): Melanie Brown had secret mascots in her bid to win the support of fans during her latest appearance on 'Dancing with the Stars' - her fellow Spice Girls.

Band mates Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton formed an impressive cheer squad, urging viewers to vote for the singer, who performed the samba to the group's classic hit Spice Up Your Life on the Oct 22 episode.

In footage recorded during Mel B's trip to London to shoot their new video clip, Emma said: "Please vote because she's fab. We need her in - because then she's not with us."

And the presence of her band mates had the right effect on her scores, with the show judges, giving Mel B 29 out of 30, securing the number one spot on the competition's leader board.

The singer was shocked last week when she faced expulsion after falling into the bottom two.

"I really thought I was going to cry. I was just devastated. We decided to have emergency rehearsals straight after the show. The pressure's definitely on this week," the Daily Mail quoted her, as saying.

"I have to travel to London to do the Spice Girls video shoot - and if Maks [dance partner Maksim Chmerkowskiy] isn't on his best behaviour, I guarantee the Spice Girls will definitely correct that. I am loving being in this competition and I am not ready to go yet," she added. (ANI)
