Every time Kamal visits Kerala, he gets inspired and emotions pour out in his words. One reason is, that was where he made his debut as a hero. He is also impressed by how Malayalis preserve their culture. In fact Kamal has already said that he would like to build a house and spend his old age in beautiful Kerala surrounded by the beauty of nature!

He reiterated this when he participated in the third international book fair conducted by DC Books at Thiruvananthapuram. The Malayalam version of his screenplays of 'Mahanadhi' and 'Hey Ram' were released at the fair.

Kamal said at the function that he had consented to this because of the great respect he has for Kerala.

"Many have asked me when I am going to take some rest. But I do not intend of take rest as of now. When I do intend to retire, I will surely make my way to Kerala," he said.

DC Books is known for releasing works of eminent Malayalam writers.
