Director Manish Acharya, who brings with him a background of physics and software engineering and is a graduate of a New York film school met with Whistling Woods International students to discuss the quirky title and even quirkier cast of LOPP.

"I give majority of the credit of my film to my film education. Over my 3-yr program, the biggest learning came from fellow students. I learnt a lot from seeing numerous films moving from conception to execution and the methods various student film-makers applied during that journey. That kind of exposure helped me greatly during the making of LOPP. The major other advantage I had was the contacts I made at film school – I was very comfortable with my crew, having studied with some of them in film-school and I think that comfort comes across in the final product." were some of Manish's comments in the hour-long master-class.

Being a recent film-school graduate himself, Manish was amazed at the technical infrastructure, the teaching methodology and curriculum made available to students at Whistling Woods International. In his opinion it was much better than the facilities, curriculum and assistance he received at his institution.

"If WWI was made a few years earlier, this is the place where I would've studied" summed up what he felt about WWI.

Whistling Woods International, Asia's largest institute for film, television, animation and media arts has announced its January 2008 intake with applications open for 2-year programs in Acting, Animation, Production, Cinematography, Direction, Editing, Screenwriting and Sound.
