Vishal, playing an encounter specialist in the film Sathyam, says that he has put his body, mind and soul to make the project a grand success. Nayanthara, the heroine of the film, plays the role of a TV news reporter.
The surprise package, however, happens to be the role of the antagonist, played by Kannada actor Upendra. Vishal, while talking about Upendra's role, revealed that it was this role that inspired him to accept the lead role, when the story was narrated to him.
He went on to say that it is such a strong character, which is as important as the lead role itself. Vishal expressed these views during a press meet held recently.
Quizzed about his fans conferring him the title 'Puratchi Thalapathy', Vishal said he accepted it gladly as a token of love. On whether he considers Vijay as his competitor, the actor said that he does not mind as long as it is a healthy competition. “I have always been a fan of Vijay sir and to rise to a level where I can even be considered, as his competitor is compliment in itself,” he said.
