Lakshmi Gopalaswamy has denied talks that she is going to play the role of Trisha's mother in a new Tamil film.
Trisha is now starring in a film that is being produced by actor-producer Prakashraj. 'Abhiyum Naanum' is the name of the film. There was a big search for an actress to play the role of the heroine's mother. They had initially considered Khushboo for the role. She refused.
That was when talks began that Lakshmi Gopalaswamy has accepted the role.
"I did not accept the offer to star as Trisha's mother in the film. Aishwarya is playing the role," she says. There is more to this film than all the actresses refusing the offer. Rumors are on that Prakashraj too wasn't that keen on starring as Trisha's father in the film. He had acted in quite a number of Telugu films as her brother. There also was a film in which he had played the role of the villain who had an eye on her.
Maybe he wasn't keen on starring as her father.
