When Shankar announced that he was going to make a film in Hindi with Shahrukh Khan in the lead role and tentatively titled it as 'Robot', we had a feeling that the film would probably be a futuristic one about one man's struggle against corruption, this time aided by a robot.
It was meant to be a joke but it turns out that Shahrukh Khan had decided to not go ahead with the film because he wasn't happy with the film's script. Rumors are on that he found the script very routine and had nothing new. He wasn't happy with the fact that the story was about a vigilante who takes up a fight against social evils. The script was set in the future. Shahrukh was looking for something innovative in his films.
Shankar was offended because nobody questions his script. So, instead of starting a film and then ending it on bitter terms and then watching it flop at the box office, the two have decided to drop the film and continue to be on friendly terms.
Well, if someone is going to invest Rs 100 crores in a project, they do have all the reasons to question, right? Moreover, 100 crores isn't small money.
Shahrukh is eagerly waiting to release his 'Om Shanti Om' for Diwali. His new film will most likely be with Karan Johar.
