Director Shekhar Kapur can seldom stay away from the news. He has, in the last few years, announced and shelved projects too fast for anyone to keep count of.
Now comes another in the same lines but this seems to be in for real. His long lost project Time Machine, which was announced way back in 1992,
with Aamir Khan and Rekha in the lead was shelved as soon as they had started shooting. With Shekhar planning to revive this project, talks are on with the UTV. He intends to rope in Aamir again for the lead role and replace Rekha, who they now find too old for the role, with Vidya Balan.
If things go as planned, the shooting will commence by mid ’08. This has been one of Shekhar’s coveted projects and his tryst with Bollywood has been pending for a long time now, it started with his announcement of Paani that somehow was shelved. Does Shekhar know that the audience can’t wait to see his genius on silver screen again?
